Founded in 2022, the Organization of Traditional Tibetan Medicine and Sciences of Canada (OTTMSC) unites Tibetan medicine practitioners across Canada. Its mission is to preserve and share this ancient healing system with future generations and the wider public.

To bring all Traditional Tibetan medicine practitioners under one umbrella and to promote the use and application of Traditional Tibetan medicine to the wider public.
The organization will push for the Canadian standardization and legalization of Traditional Tibetan medicine in Ontario, Canada.
The larger objective of the organization is to promote awareness of Traditional Tibetan Medicinal systems of healing in prevention and maintaining good mental and physical health through academic approach by organizing seminars, short courses and establishing academic network between medical centers and universities.
The organization will regulate the responsibilities of providing public protection and client safety to those who avail the service of Traditional Tibetan Medicine.
The organization will regulate its own practitioners and ascertain the highest standard of ethical and professional conduct thereby owning accountability of practitioners while rendering services to the client.
The organization will make available the informed choice to clients relating to different health care practices.
The organization will work on cultivation of herbs and manufacturing of Traditional Tibetan herbal products and explore different herbs grown in Ontario, Canada.
The organization will oversee the setting up of mild therapy centers (Traditional Tibetan massage, compresses, medicinal herbal bath and steam therapy).
This organization will oversee establishment of Traditional Tibetan Medical Colleges in Ontario, Canada.

As of 2025, the OTTMSC proudly represents 32 registered Menpas across Canada.
Many of our members are also active in the Ontario Herbalists Association, with some fully licensed under the Municipal Licensing and Standards of Toronto.
